SACRHORMATIC Magazine is a local art and design magazine that is meant to connect the local creative community with resources and stories of local designers and artists within the Sacramento area. The magazine is a quarterly subscription and this was the first issue designed. I took inspiration from AIGA’s, “Eye on Design” magazine which uses experimental layouts for each issue. This allowed me to create a playful and intriguing composition which could be tailored for every individual article. This inaugural issue focuses on the artists of the area so focus on imagery was important. I was able to direct focus to the images by utilizing white space in certain moments while also having loud pops of images that would span the entire page.
